If you follow me over on Facebook or Instagram you will know that we have a little addition to the family, her name is Bonnie Blossom, a rescue kitten we had been looking for for quite a while, who then popped into our lives quite unexpectedly…exactly the same was as our lovely Barley did a few years ago.

I must say the transition has been very slow and to be quite honest I thought it might not work a few weeks in.

Now though this lovely darling, though sulking quite a bit at the acceptance of it all, actually seems to be quite happy with his new playmate.

And yes, I have turned into one of those people who shows strangers pictures of their kitten and pup on their phone rather than their offspring.

I also have a cat and dog both rescues and I enjoy how the love and affection from them is different and we laugh at the cheek of the cat and how she winds the dog up,she is now 17 years young..lol…but she’s not scared of any dogs big or small and she stands her ground with my friends 2 dogs who visit regularly, but I love walking the dog and how he goes out and about with us,..X

Love the beach cottage look and your adorable puppy, Barley. I hope Barley and your new kitty get along okay. It is sweet to see two animals turn into playmates. I’ve had two dogs both who have passed on and I think of both of them often wondering if they found each other in “doggie heaven”.
