chocolate banana bread recipe

Good Monday morning ladies of beach cottage land, how are you all?? We’ve had a busy weekend here – we had a table for 14 on Saturday night for a Thanksgiving dinner, including sing songs (with ukulele, guitar and keyboard) and lots of lovely food. We had two turkeys, a huge ham with a bourbon glaze, broccoli casserole, green beans, cornbread, gravy and mashed potato, followed by pumpkin pie. It was a lovely evening though a long one – friend arrived at 5pm and we were still going at 1.30am. Last night (Sunday) too we were at a friend’s birthday party, there was dancing and fun so I’m here in the Summer Room this morning feeling happy but a little on the tired side….
The sun is shining here, though it’s not too hot, about 26C today…I’ve allocated this afternoon for some Christmas shopping – I’ve planned to hop on the ferry to the city and have a mooch, but as the day is moving on I’m not sure that will happen…
OK, this is a recipe from my lovely daughter…banana bread with chocolate, really really nice for morning tea…evening nicer if you didn’t make it yourself…but still very easy if you do…we are very much a throw it in a big mixing bowl family here…this recipe was adapted from one found online which requires three bowls, one to mix this, one to mix that….however through trial and error all mixed quickly in one go turns out ok – you probs are not going to get as good a result but it works for us….
