Hello from Barls and I beach cottage friends, woah, have to say I am having one of those days where I’ve had enough of thinking about anything renovation related…bathrooms, ovens, bathtubs, structural engineers, dust, oh so much dust, wet concrete, paint, masses of paint, choosing tiles, ripping out kitchens…it’s all getting a bit much…first world problems yes, but you know…I’m tired and over it already.

Little parts of the house are beginning to come together though (like here I love the old French doors), though most things feel upside down, I know it could be a whole lot worse….I would much rather take photos of clean, white pretty things though it has come to my attention ;) that some of you want to see the mess…it’s going to take me a while to muster that one up.

I am looking forward to Saturday, my daughter and I are taking off to a beach down the coast, the weather forecast is good, going to pack up our beachy bits, bikinis (on that front I have muffin top news, will share tomorrow) and head for a nice breakfast and then spending the day on the beach…

Oh and in kitchen news we have an oven, a huge and very very very clean oven.

Over and out.

    Hi Sarah,

Enjoy your time away at the beach with your daughter. You have been full steam ahead with the renovations, and have achieved so much in such a short space of time. Time to take a breather and enjoy the magic you have created so far.

From my arm chair I can’t believe how fast this reno is progressing. I can tell you’ve done it before .

Have a lovely weekend away. I’m writing this overlooking Coledale beach down south. I come here to chill out in the middle of a busy work day. Bliss.

For my “imagining” purposes, and if you do not mind sharing, are you living in this house while you renovate or do you travel back and forth between this house and the other? Do you know which will be your home? If too nosy, just ignore….:)

    Have a relaxing beach day!
