coastal vintage bits, bobs, shops, beach cottage abs
Tue 24th, Jun, 2014
Ooooh good evening beach cottage ladies, I have been doing a lot of lugging about in this old cottage…lugging about of old coastal vintage finds…loved furniture, old mirrors, oars, ladders, crates, oh my I’m drowning in old wooden crates…I have a huge stash of all this old stuff and as you know a week or so ago I decided to let some of them go!
I must say this has been a bit tricky, every time I take a photo I think, ahhh, nah, can’t let go of this one, nah I’ll keep it….
I reckon it’s a real problem for shop keepers, not that I am a shop keeper, but you know what I mean – I can only imagine having a shop and persuading customers not to buy stuff ‘cos you want to keep it…even if it’s just to stroke it or stash it…haha..which I reckon is why I am in the situation whereby there is rather a lot of old vintage stuff, packed and feeling unloved, under this old cottage…
There is an unexpected side to this selling off your stashed furniture too – did you know that letting go of furniture is good for your fitness levels? …going downstairs and under the house/into the garage to find new stuff and bringing it in is good for your muscles and strength…there may even be a whisper of a shadow to the ab area!
Oh my, actually perhaps it’s just my imagination…anyway I’m still moving so I guess that’s a plus…have to say upper arms are no better tho, furniture removal doesn’t help my upper arms…let’s be honest though I gave up on them around about the time I last gave birth…although must mention they are, though large, sporting a rather nice shade of tan courtesy of a bottle in my bathroom and ready for our upcoming holiday ;) Orange upper arms are pretty much better than blue when going on holiday I always find.
So with these lovely old bits I’ll be off…
…chocolate mud cake recipe on the way, if you are dieting, don’t come back…
