a beach cottage coastal beachy vintage decor

Good morning lovely ladies of Beach Cottage Land, do hope all is well?  I have had a busy few days and my husband has been away interstate so I’m looking forward to a quiet weekend of gardening and baking…

I’m just popping in to say I’m, errrm, let’s just say making room in this old cottage, it’s getting pretty packed in here and there is a veritable old coastal goodies shop under the house…the trouble you see is I love vintage treasure hunting and, as you know, recently the vintage finds have been piling up and in (and there are LOTS I haven’t shown you lol, indeed lots I haven’t shown anyone…always good when your hubby goes away on business, means you can stash stuff when no-one is around!)…anyway, yes, so I’ve decided to cleanse, release, breathe, let go and I am having a little beachy decor sale over the next few weeks…bits and bobs of old vintage things that I’ve collected and although I am kinda reluctant to let go, the time has come to find a new home for some of these coastal pretties…

I’ll be popping a few things on Instagram (over here) and Facebook (find me here)- if you are interested you can either email me (abeachcottageblog at gmail.com) or you can leave me a comment on social media, pick up is Sydney beaches (I’ve already had lots of requests to ship this stuff overseas – if you know an easy way to do it let me know!).

On the way I have heaps of sweet things…old oars, vintage hessian sacks, baskets, shabby old doors, fishing floats, bags, vintage mirrors, lead-light windows, old ladders, crates, boxes…there is a long list of things, it’s a big one…

OK I am off for a coffee and a walk by the sea this morning, good day.

Sarah

p.s the vintage window is already sold but the table above is still available :-)

  5. I have been looking all over for a great nautical-striped summer bag and am finding nothing in the stores. Of course, I don’t get anywhere to shop much either…

There is something about a big tote in seaside colours that just says SUMMER.
