Morning beach cottage people, so the Australian country style house was lovely right, now let’s have a look at the rest of it and see where the beautiful farmhouse cottage I showed you in the last post sits…ahem yup after an arvo here I did try to persuade Mr Beach Cottage that we need to move to the country…and yup he said no chance I love where we are ;-) I get his point but I love rolling hills and Australian countryside!

We ate up here in the cooler shade under the tree…

Sooooo this was a beautiful and simple lunch with home-cooked ingredients and a little tipple or 63, gosh I am not a good daytime drinker, and man did these slip down, with mangoes grown on the tree that we ate under, very very nicely.

Did I feel these the next day?  hahahah

A beautiful blue blue blue Australian sky, still gets me every time, even better out here with nothing around…

I love trees, ahhmazing, I have never hugged a tree, perhaps I should start, but I love them, there were some beauties here that is for sure…do you tree hug? ;-)  (On that note I tell you what I rose hug..came home to my first blooming English rose in my Aussie garden….good lordy it feels good, I spied it by torchlight first of all, more soon on that…)

I hope you have enjoyed seeing a lovely Australian country style farmhouse as much as I loved spending the afternoon hanging out there?

p.s. if you have a minute can you leave me a comment to let me know if you are seeing pics sideways (I am on my phone but not on the computer)…yet another things that is wrong with my blog design!  oh the stories I could tell, I am having to spend a lot of money to get this all fixed up!  please let me know and I’ll try to get the images displaying the correct way xxx if you are having to turn your head no you are not seeing things ;-) ;-)

Pics all the right way up & gorgeous. Looks delightful Sarah. I loved the house & the garden compliments it beautifully! How lucky to get to visit, sit under a tree & consume mango drinks. Living the dream :)

    Still seeing them sideways.

These gorgeous photographs are head turners, but I didn’t have to turn my head to view them. ;-P

What a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Beautiful home, beautiful grounds, and I love the puppy. This home, like yours Sarah, is done just right – with time taken, things gathered, a good eye, and a lot of love.

All the photos perfect, right way up. Reading this on my Samsung mobile phone that I love. Oh! The drinks looked fabulous. You must have had a wonderful holiday.

    Hi Sarah,

Some of the pictures are sideways and some the right way up.

Loved all the pics, this is my end of the woods. And the pooch, loved him, my sister has a Schnauzer, back in the UK.
    Thanks for sharing.

On my IPad, some are sideways and some are right way up ……. what a beautiful place. Looks like you had a fab time sipping cocktails under that tree. Me and my chums have discovered “Tea Time Toots” ( a couple of drinks around 6.00pm) …… not as “dangerous” as day time drinks and you’re home nice and early – most enjoyable – can thoroughly recommend it :) Marie x

  15. I think I’m still feeling the effects of those mango drinks … all good with pics on my Mac but on iPad yesterday some were sideways x

Looks like such a lovely afternoon with some lovely company. What a gorgeous country house. My husband and I are total tree lovers. Currently live near the beach but are really wanting to move to the sunny coast to the hinterlands so we can get our tree fix as well as having beautiful beaches still close… This is our dream that we have been planning for about 5 years.. I’m pretty sure next year is the year..

  19. Alison says:

Gorgeous photos, some sideways… Still beautiful.

  20. Deb from Maine says:

All pictures right side up, and boy are they beautiful! You are one lucky BC lady to spend the day at that country house. Glad you enjoyed yourself.

  21. jenny s says:

All looking good on Android – Samsung. Gorgeous gorgeous pics Sarah! That visit must have been so rejuvenating. Looked like a home away from home. Just so ‘beach-cottage-goes-to-the-country’!! I loved the kitchen cupboards and the beaded jug cover.♥

  22. Mog says:

On my iPhone some are sideways. When I view the pages on my iMac, all are upright but show up sideways when I pin the ones that show sideways on the iPhone and iPad. Beautiful pics despite the glitch.

  23. I love these gorgeous pictures! So inspiring and homely. I’m on my iPhone and am turning my phone around. I obviously don’t want to miss anything!

  24. Kathy Yutzy says:

All of your pics are upright and gorgeous on my PC in Michigan, USA! That farmland is very similar to where I live. ( A farmhouse in the country.) We sure don’t have a sky that unbelievable blue sky, tho! It is so breathtaking-whether over farmland or sea!

You encourage many of us to keep trying with our cameras, knowing you have gone before us! So grateful for your blog!

  25. Lassiegirl says:

No problems here in OK, USA. Beautiful countryside in your pics and yes, I’m a tree-hugger, though not usually literally. Our yards are filled with trees that give us wonderful cooling shade from the hot Oklahoma summers and beautiful fall colors which are coming very soon. Our trees are very special to us :)

  26. Lisa Mckenzie says:

Stunning pics Sarah simply beautiful ,that farmhouse looks so pretty and the gardens lovely!

  27. Mel says:

Some sideways photos; also, in the summer I was off the grid. Now I’m unable to access your summer’s worth of posts…is this due to the blog design issues??

    • sarah says:

one word = yes, so sorry, I am going through a massive re-design behind the scenes, all will be good soon and all the issues cleaned up!

  28. Anonymous says:

All pictures are right way up on my phone.

Isn’t it great fun messing with your husband’s head by saying in a serious voice that you want to relocate or do a massive lifestyle change!!

Been making Mr alison stop so I can take photos of stone cottages and roads lined with curved gum trees that form a tunnel during our Kangaroo Island holiday.

Yes, I’ve hugged one of my gum trees in my yard.
