Well good morning beach cottage friends!  Nice to see you here on a Sunday.

I thought you might like a bit of fresh, coastal, Whitsunday style ocean air for this weekend?   A couple of pics from my recent trip to one of the most beautiful parts of Australia (you can see more here)

Happy Sunday and happy Mother’s Day

  1. Happy Mother’s Day to you sweet Sarah! Thank you so much for the pics as we have been having some dreary rainy weather here in Fincastle VA

happy mother’s day to you too sarah!
hoping your day will be full special things for you
and of nothing much to do …
    re …
    treats for you
    pampering oneself and not too
    much mothering from you!
a challenge is to see how they can spoil and mother you just for one day!
always love those Whitsunday photos, “mental vacation” thanking you kindly … love from m:) x

Oh for the love of God, please stop tormenting me with these beautiful photos of beaches and sand and sun. Sarah, I ‘m going to have to stop reading your blog if this latent envy/jealousy/longing/ for some Australian living again (I’ve had 3 holidays there) doesn’t go away!

I’ve just come back from the allotment .It’s mid may…it is very cold, it’s rained on me, my hair looks a mess and I;m covered with mud. OOh the glamour…. Did I say it was cold? Well, it’s windy too. A typical May in the UK. I think you need to revisit the old country and see what we poor people have to cope with over here.

Having said that we did have two warm days (20 deg Celsius) last week. It will probably have to last us til Autumn! So forgive me if I don’t comment on your next set of gorgeous photos….I’ll be screaming in the corner and gnashing my teeth with envy….

  4. Whoops….I forgot to put my name to the rant about the lovely photos!

Beautiful photo. Thanks for your kind thoughts.

I celebrated Mothers’ Day having a really tasty brunch with the family sitting in the sunshine at an outdoor cafe. It was magic. That’s real living for me.
