G’day lovely Beach Cottage Friends!

To all those of you who have come to this little corner of the internet this year, thank you, I wish you peace…thanks for sharing the white paint, the summer house makeover, the vintage finds, the magic wardrobe, the recipes, the bathroom reno and all of my rambling in between…I love coming here to share it all…

I will be hugging my kiddos extra tight this year & telling them just how much I love them…I hope your Christmas is filled with love too.

Merry Christmas.

Sarah, Barley & the Beach Cottage Crew

(If you need me, you get two guesses where I’ll be…)

Always wondered how Santa does his thing “down under” when it’s so warm there…Now, that mystery’s solved! (With suchpanache!) Hope that the BC Crew & you (& Barley, too – his 1st!) have a joyful yet peaceful Christmas. Good health and happiness to you all in the year to come! Thanks for sharing your beach cottage life w/ us…again, thru your terrific pics of all! (Bet the lovely blue KA stand mixer paid for itself this season – between BC Girl and you!)

PS to Barley: I gave as much supervision & assistance as possible creating a new bow for our wreath! (Whew! Glittery ribbon everywhere…but fun!) Barley, you’ve a responsibility (but happy job) ahead. (Since you’re new to the Holiday), know that it’s up to YOU to help Each Member of your BC Home with unwrapping EVERY Present! (So exciting! SO Exciting!! SO EXCITING!!! Right?! RIGHT?! Oh…where to turn next?!!!) You’ll be soooo busy! Meowy Christmas to you! xoxoxo & purrs, Gracie Pawline

We were due to drive up into the mountains for a White Christmas, but a flooding thunderstorm here, and a blizzard up there mean that here we are, at home with no turkey! (we do have a bottle of single malt we’ll open early)
Fire is on, candles are lit, and the cat is very pleased we’re still around.

  8. Deb says:

Merry Christmas to you and yours, Sarah!
I look forward to all your goings on, and I will somehow send you a pic of the trifle, its half made, and give you the verdict!
Thanks for being there for us all.
    Deb xx

Hi Mrs BC, thank you so much for your generosity in sharing so much of your life with all of us. Thanks to you I have somehow managed to find the confidence and motivation to create a beautiful home with lots of antique white furniture that has been given a whole new lease of life…and that makes me very happy. Have a wonderful holiday period with your BC crew. Xx Erin

Merry Christmas Sarah! We are pretty far behind you in Colombia, but it’ll soon be here. Can you get used to seeing Father Christmas in a warm climate? I can just about get my head around Christmas trees, but FC and snowmen just seem too weird!!

    • sarah says:

it took a while Claire but now I feel really Christmassy when the sun comes out and the weather warms up…like today, it’s 30C in Sydney and we’ve spent some time on the beach…

Merry Christmas to you :-) x

  21. Lassiegirl says:

Oh, forgot to mention that we are likely to get a white Christmas this year. It doesn’t happen that often here in Oklahoma, but it does happen. We’ve had 2 since having moved here 15 years ago. My boys should remember this one well, now they are 13 and 11. Can’t wait to see Piper, the puppy (just barely 1yr old) play in the snow with the boys and older fur-auntie, Annie. You mentioned that you missed the snow in England…well, snow was one of the reasons I moved here from S. California where I felt deprived of snow growing up. I still act like a child, so excited when it snows. I love the beauty and quiet of falling snow. But, you have got quite the view there, too. I know you’ll enjoy it and I get to “visit” on your blog. Thanks so much for your site. I do love dropping in regularly :)

    • sarah says:

      thanks for your lovely comment!

I LOVE that quiet from the snow falling…I certainly miss that :-)
