G’day lovelies!

Righto, checking in with another product I am loving right now.

This is Garnier BB Miracle Skin Perfector (find more information on it here)

The BB bit stands for blemish balm cream and has been very popular in Asian countries for many years, it was everywhere in the beauty shops in Hong Kong when we were there recently and is known for its skincare-and-makeup-in-one properties…

I first heard about it on the make up site I like to surf every now and then about 3 or 4 months ago and also was interested to see positive reviews of it everywhere too (just Google it, you’ll see) and this article/review  in the Daily Mail

….plus this product has been circulating the blogs – fashion blogs, beauty blogs, style blogs….but I am a bit skeptical of blog reviews nowadays…because even on supposed real-girl blogs, half the time the ‘reviews’ are actually paid sponsorships or the blogger has been given the product

but I wondered what it would be like and so decided to try it, what the heck, on my Forty is The New Thirty Real Girls Beach Cottage skin…

Though I am always very very wary of anything labelled Miracle or Perfect, aren’t you?

I mean hello, we all know that that isn’t really what happens, we know a miracle will not happen when you put this stuff about your person.  Though we still continue to be marketed at in that way.  Weird.

We all know that, at best, you will put this ‘miracle product’ on your skin and it won’t make you look like a clown but somehow with a bit of luck it will make you look better.  At least that is what I want and hope for in a product.

It will also, in this old cottage, need to be a good price, easy to put on in a rush and if I am putting it on my face it will need SPF ‘cos in Australia you need that every time you hit the fresh air and there ain’t no way I am faffing with more than one product in the morning…

Now, I wear something on my skin every day…whether it is just sunscreen if I am just out in the garden but mostly it will be some kind of foundation…but now as summer is getting nearer and just because I like the idea of not wearing foundation this caught my eye…

It sure makes a lot of claims but this is the one that convinced me in that split second when you are standing their debating, to buy it

‘save time with this daily all-in-one moisturiser: in just one application, moisturise, unify and brighten your skin!’

I mean yeah, that’s about all my needs in one product, especially the brighten bit…like my Dump & Go recipes, only for skin…so yeah, wow, heck, get the horns out, this stuff is gonna do it all for me and unify my skin at the same time…whoopee!

The best thing about it though is it’s a good price, even in Australia, where everything is just so expensive this was about $14…hardly gonna break the bank if I throw it in the basket and have a go….

So when buying this product I went for the medium rather than the light…it seems there are only two colours to choose from…although I have very pale skin naturally there is nothing worse for me than buying something that makes me look even more of a ghost than I already am…for years and years and years I have read that you must match to your skin tone, try it on the inside of your wrist, put it on your neck and then check outside in the natural light, yadda, yadda, yadda, but for me, I would rather have colour from the product rather than the pinky white with blueish undertones that’s already there…so I bought the darker one…

Here though I believe the light would have been ok too.

So, first off, it’s in a quite nice tube that’s easy to slip in your handbag should you want to….and looks pretty inviting with the miracle promises and all…

...on first squeeze from the tube, I was so not sure…thinking, oh great, just another cr*p ‘miracle’ product without any miracles occurring in this old cottage for sure…

but wait…

It goes on kinda greasy and a bit gloopy…hence I’m thinking nup, this will be in the bin quicker than I can say let’s paint something white

and the colour appears thick, beige and opaque at first, so much so that you think, this is rubbish, and yet again I have wasted money on a miracle-that-is-not-a-miracle product….but upon application and a bit of blending, it actually turns out to be very sheer and ooh, wow, goodness gracious me, I think this is actually quite, ummm, nice, no wait, sugar, this is really nice…

and then somehow it seems to sink in and OH MY GIDDY AUNT THIS STUFF MAKES YOU

and more

look a little, dare I say it, dewy…

yes, Beach Cottagers, I think this stuff makes you Glowy and Dewy at the same time, in a Forty Is the New Thirty Way…

but the miracle is dear Beach Cottagers that it doesn’t feel like it and it doesn’t feel like you have anything on your skin..which in my book, is worth $14 and declaring a near miracle…

and more, much much more, the very very best thing about this??….. it’s so very easy to throw on before the school run in the morning, no I did not say I do it in the car, but I did say that you can hop out of the shower, squirt, rub, blend and go…it’s like one of my Beach Cottage Dump & Go recipes..but for your face!  Love!

After years of looking for a moisturiser with coverage and glowiness but that is also great for daytime, and using everything from Chanel (used to be one of my faves) to Cover Girl and for when you want something on your skin, which is a day cream with a secret ingredient, which gives you a boost, and surely I need it nowadays, I think I have found it..

So do I need to say anymore?

Other than, when you are doing your weekly trawl around the supermarket or the discount store, do yourself a Forty is the New Thirty favour and throw one of these in your basket for good measure…

you will thank me

Yours in dew

p.s  I bought an extra few of these for you lovely Beach Cottagers…random commenters on this post will win a miracle in a tube ;-)  …just tell me any of your Holy Grail products and I’ll love you forever ;-)…x

(I got mine in Priceline for just under AU$14…BIGW is slightly cheaper)

in no way affiliated to or sponsored by Garnier  / Miracle Skin Perfector and product not provided to me by Garnier
…I just love what this is like on my skin!

  1. I am getting close to that “forty is the new thirty” so any honest to goodness endorsements are very much wanted & appreciated! I would love to try this.

  2. Please tell me this is on sale in the UK? I’m off to Boots in the morning if it is! 30 at 40 is sounding good to me!

Liz Earle products are a fave of mine, and I must say her new foundations are very lovely, the medium is perfect for my fair skin, and the light for my under eye area. But you won’t be needing it now you have found your miracle!

Spenny I know but nothing beats Eve Lom cleanser in my books, but I only get it once a year from Santa – ha! Bxx

ps. so loving your blog, v glad I found it a little while ago!

  3. Easy and good? Hard to believe, but it’s nice to hear it from a real person and not a marketing agent for the company (you aren’t, are you?) :) My only real holy grail find is That Gal face primer from Benefit Cosmetics. It gives a bright, I’m-actually-awake look and evens things up. No actually coverage or SPF, but as a primer, it is really great. And you can put on top of your make-up if you want to freshen up later in the day. It comes out pink, but it blends beautifully.

i am 38 and menopause hit me early at 35 so my skin is going through some changes. it has dulled a bit and sometimes i break out like a 13 year old on my chin. i have tried so many different things over the years and i alllllllllllllways go back to dove soap to wash my face on a daily basis (i know, GASP, bar soap on my face!), neutrogena oil free acne wash pink grapefruit foaming scrub a couple of times a week (vitamin c is a natural brightener), neutrogena clear pore cleanser/mask for when i feel a bit of unbalance is heading my way and vaseline white petroleum jelly for moisture while i sleep. it’s not the fanciest routine but it works for me. my grandmother had porcelain skin until her passing and she kept it simple with bar soap to cleanse, vaseline for moisture at night and staying out of the sun.

i love reading about products that people try and love b/c one day my own routine may need a shake up and it’s good to have some place to turn!

  5. Deanne says:

I have found that since I hit 40 (a couple of years ago now) that my skin became drier and needed more moisturising than before.
I usually use olive oil or coconut oil, can apply to my whole body and its cheap and I know whats in it.

  6. Leah says:

I read about this product last week in a magazine and I thought then that I would definitely try it. It sounded like just what I was looking for. I usually use Aveda tinted moisturiser and I love it, but it is expensive and need to try something new. THIS IS IT! Off to buy it today. Thanks for the reminder and the great review. Leahx

  7. sue austin says:

I must try this! (Is 69 the new 49?)

  8. Sarah, this is so fab, I saw an ad for this yesterday and promised myself I will try it. I love anything Garnier and i am currently using their Pure Active, tinted spot roll on.. I am getting some breakouts and the Pure Active is genius, it disguises them and dries them out really quickly, like magic. I can’t wait to try the Miracle Skin Perfector!!

  9. Alyson says:

Yep, I use this – LOVE it! I’ll never buy foundation again :)

  10. Dewy sort of scares me because I can tend to be a bit on the oily side. But glowy sounds really nice! I have found a product from Avon I love. I was never a big fan of Avon until I tried their Anew Clinical line. This is a glycolic peel pad and I love it. I actually cut them in half so I have twice as many. But they have been out of them online and can’t wait to get more! Here it is.

  11. Jenna says:

My go to products are: Boots sensitive skin face wash and the scrub – I use to break out, but not with this stuff so I love it! Also, bare minerals makeup- it is the only thing I have found that makes you look natural while hiding flaws!

  12. Thanks! I love hearing what others have used, and really like and really work. I use No 7 Protect and Perfect (which I love) but will try this since its a little cheaper and I’m now in that 40 range (I mean 29!!!) Another product I love love love is Youngblood Loose Mineral Powder. While I was pregnant (11 years ago), I developed melasma (dark splotchy spots on your face) and it never went away. This covers so well and natural (not glittery or shimmery looking). Its natural and free of chemicals and talc which can make you break out. It even held up at the pool. A little expensive (about $35 usd) but one container last me a year or more. I could be their poster child ~ I love this stuff so much!

Thanks for your post. I always enjoy looking at your pretty home and pictures ~ so inspiring. Wishing you a great week ahead!!!
    Jenn :)

  13. Laurie says:

Among my favorite things is Burt’s Bees Fabulously Fresh Peppermint Body Wash…it is fab :)

  14. Alima says:

oooh! I need to try this. I rarely wear makeup just because i am too lazy to take the time so this sounds perfect for me.
my favorite beauty product is Alba Organics Hawaiian Cocoa butter. It smells amazing and keeps my skin really soft.

  15. Heidi says:

Sounds fab and I will definitely be looking out for this. My favourite product admittedly is a little more pricey, but it lasts for donkeys years and is a total treat for the skin – Dermologica Daily Microfoliant. You can get ‘salon size’ (the big one) on Strawberry Net.com for less than what you would pay for half the quantity off the shelf. (I paid $125 for 170g online as opposed to $154 for roughly 80g off the shelf). I’m not one for spending $$$$$ on skincare/makeup but I will splash out for this. Even used daily it lasts for months and months and months.

  16. Gypsea Nurse says:

Sarah~ After just celebrating my 41st and a couple rounds of surgery… I need a miracle! LOL!
Definitely will check this out.. thank you!
    Have a great week!

  17. Ditto what Heidi said about Dermologica. But I buy mine on Ebay for around $30.

To cleanse I swear by Cetaphil. You can buy it at any drugstore for around $7 or $8.

After baths before toweling off I slather on Neutrogenia bath oil. Keep my 43 yr old parched arms and legs soft and silky while living here in Phoenix.

  18. My favorite drugstore product and BEST beauty product is L’oreal telescopic Mascara in blackest black. I have posted about it here

and everyone who tries it LOVES it.

I will have to try this garnier product if I can find it:) Thanks for sharing. We “forty is the new thirty” women have to stick together you know.

  19. Hi Sarah,
thanks for the heads up!! I’m always searching for something to make me look fabulous…hahahah :) So I’m thinkin’ I’ll try this out! Still love ya! :)

P.S. I don’t know if it’s just me but it seems like your blog page takes much longer to download these days?? Have you heard that from anyone else?

  20. Barbara says:

Wait…I thought 50 was the new 30! I’m always up for a Miracle so I’ll be trying this. My favorite secret is a vinegar/water mix that I use as a toner…makes my pores disappear!

  21. Julie says:

Good to know! I’ve been wanting to try the Bobbi Brown tinted moisturiser but I just can’t bring myself to spend that much. Off to see if this sells in Canada…

  22. Kari says:

I absolutely want to try this! One of my favs, though not for your face…lol…. Is Secret deodorant in Cocoa Butter Kiss! It smells just like the Coppertone lotion my Mom use to use on me as a kid.. Love it!”

  23. Amy in Roseville says:

Plain old Nivea always does the trick for me. Great for face (without being greasy) and all over the body for some extra nourishment.

  24. Carolyn Gill says:

I am sooo excited to try this. I”m always on the lookout for all of the above that you mentioned. I also am excited to try something that my daughter has been raving about. She says it is her BEST beauty secret.. VISINE eye drops. Well, I used to find them in my teenagers pockets and was a bit worried of course, but my daughter SWEARS its the best thing to put in your eyes before you put makeup on. She says it makes your eyeball pop with whiteness and crispness. She has a newborn and so she’s been bit sleep deprived. So, I’m going to get some and help these, over 50 eyes….. Thanks for the tip.

  25. Marie says:

If this stuff can actually make my 46 year old face dewy & glowy, I think I’ll pay you!!! LOL! The past few years haven’t been kind and I just can’t find any moisturizers or makeup that works like it use to. Ugh…getting old isn’t for sissies!! :O)

  26. Marnie says:

Will have to try this one Sarah. Being the product whore that I am , my list of must have changes like the wind, but there are a few “true loves”, firstly is fresh from the plant, aloe vera gel, which will cure just about anything :) and a non-surgical facelift mask that truly works miracles and is Aussie made and my home made cleanser that I’ll blog about (one day)when I’m feeling better.
Of course, nothing beats great lighting and a fabulous make-up artist ;)
    x Marnie

  27. Jan Renwick says:

Top post, so appreciate a factual comment on beauty items, as I’m now retired price is a consideration as in ‘ I want product that is easy to apply and works’, I have skin cancer so need the block benefit, off to check the product out, many thanks from another older oz lady.

  28. I’m 50—I need this really bad! Thanks for the review, I’m going to see if I can find some tomorrow!

  29. Kim says:

hey sarah I gotta say it once again oil of olay hands down i loooove the facial moisturizers with a tint(hint) of foundation i do actually put it on before the kiddo run in the .m. but the best and i mean best is the under eye regenerating cream with a drop of concealer it perks your eyes right up esp at 6:10 am which is when we wake to go out the door by 7 a.m. tired eyes look regenerated and bright!! i also love before make up sometimes as a treat the garnier ultra lift it is not greasy and i swear my skin feels firm i am really picky about wht i put on as i have sensitive skin and acids or things burn it!!! and i have always been able to remain blemish free with the olay since h.s days!!!
    have a g’day

  30. Little Nan says:

I swear by Dream Cream from Lush! Many years ago my face went rashy and splotchy and nothing calmed it down! I went to the doctors, nothing worked!! I looked like I had been crying all night or had the worst sunburn! I walked past Lush in Melbourne and said, I need help! Look at my face! They gave me Dream Cream and said it was meant for the body only but people had used it for psoriosis. So I used it and ‘Da-Daa!’ my face loved it! To this day, thats what I use on my face! All the time! My face craves it if I run out! It soaks into my skin and I feel a little younger! But maybe I’ll try a bit of BB too! Cut some more years off!! x

  31. alison says:

Thanks for the review Sarah. The TV ads for this product have been full on lately. I just look at the young slim thing dancing around in her undies and think…Yeh, you’d look good in anything at any time.

I purchased a new foundation from my long time trusted beautician who has helped me improve my skin out of sight BUT this foundation is hard work, blending…blending…blending to get a good finish.

Two of my favourite products are:

*Vaseline aloe fresh hydrating lotion with aloe, cucumber & vitamin E. You can buy that in the supermarket at a reasonable price. Just love that cucmber smell. It’s great to slap on all over the body.

*anna lotan Lightening Care Fresh C Exfoliating Facial Scrub. I don’t think this is very cheap but I have facial skin that needs to be exfoliated more than average and this stuff feels good to use and it works!

    • sarah says:

I know i was going to mention that young thing dancing around in the advert, I mean how ridiculous!!! she looks so young and the product surely is aimed with its brightening properties at ahem the more maturing market lol….sigh, just why oh why don’t these people get that that actually turns us OFF buying the product because it makes is just SO unbelievable….

I will try the Vaseline product, thanks for the heads up xo

  32. Barbara says:

Ack, I don’t think I can get it in the states! Anybody?

    • sarah says:

wow, I can’t believe this isn’t available in the States, I am very very surprised to hear that as we are being bombarded by it over here in advertising…though I heard that Australia gets things before many countries to ‘trial’ the market..not sure how true that is..

  33. meghan says:

My must have right now is Olay night cream. Glad to now about this new product though….I’m gonna keep my eyes open for it here. Thank you!

  34. Donna says:

My skin has changed alot….late 40′s…would love to try a new product! Thanks

  35. lucy says:

well since i am almost 48 that dewy look sounds very attractive……i may just need to try it! i only wear a moisturizer w/ sunscreen on my face now.

  36. Kate says:

i will definitely be seeking this ‘dewy giving’ cream out! it sounds fab!
i have tried a few of the ‘Lacura’ brand creams from Aldi which i have been very happy with. The day cream is lovely on your skin and when it comes in at under $10 it’s a bargain! I’m trying out the Lacura eye cream at the mo, and i’m kinda happy with it too :) It’s around the $5 mark (from memory)
OLAY day cream for (cough cough) mature skin and the night cream are pretty good value too.
    thanks for the review ;))
    Kate x

    • sarah says:

thanks I have tried them too, they reckon they are made by one of the biggies and is the same cream that costs $$$$$$, Lacura got No. 1 by a couple of magazines too, not bad for under 10 bucks x

  37. Jodi says:

Would love to try this! Play cream and St Ives apricot scrub are my go-to’s…

  38. Jodi says:

    Not play cream…OLAY cream!

  39. jusine heald says:

sounds nice, i love…..dr hauschka toned day cream. so beautiful, glowy, dewy, just enough colour!

  40. Vicki T. says:

This looks great, Sarah! Holy Grail product? Lessee….cocoa butter lotion. I’ve tried all sorts of body lotions/moisturizers and always go back to cocoa butter lotion.

  41. Tiff says:

What a great review. I like the detail. I think my go-to product would be Paula’s Choice Resist Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum. What a mouthful!

  42. Mahesha says:

That really does sound like a miracle worker… Too bad this stuff isn’t available in Sri Lanka :( I guess I’m gonna have to ask my cousin in Aussie to bring me some… Well my favorite is just good old Vaseline… Love the cocoa butter one… , bodyshop vitamin E nite cream is really good too… My skin looks glowing and smooth in the morning :) my mom and her friend loves it too… it’s a product worth a try :)

  43. lisa says:

My favourite body moisturiser is almond oil – just a few drops rubbed into dry skin works miracles.
I have very sensitive skin so wear little make-up – I’ve been trying a few different tinted moisturisers under my regular one but have yet to find one I love. Will add this to the shopping list when the current Natio one runs out!

  44. Susan says:

My absolute favorite is coconut oil….body, hair, inside, outside…great stuff…but I like your review on this so I might have to check it out and see if it is here in the States yet.s

  45. Alice says:

As much as I am loving the sound of this I am a little nervous about trying it. My face pretty much breaks out into a filled of crowded pimples (no I’m not being dramatic – it is quite painful) so I have to be very careful and selective about the types of sunscreens I wear let alone founations!. I have found Napolean hardly there foundations seem to work ok on my skin but tend to slide of by the end of the day. At the moment I have been using ego sunscreen for the face (for about 7 years) and it’s neen the only one that hasn’t sent my skin pores to overdrive. It comes tinted but the dewy looks only last for about an hour on my skin before it is all soaked up!
Two minds at the moment, will have to get a closer look…

  46. Alyson says:

My other Holy Grail product is also Garnier – Garnier Roll On Anti-Dark Circles…it’s tinted, SPF, camouflages the dark circles and is an eye cream all at the same time – gotta love those Triple Duty products when you are…not in your 30′s anymore!

  47. Melissa says:

Oh Sarah your beauty product advice always comes at the right time… this morning I was just thinking I have to buy more tinted moisturiser and now I know what to buy…after trying the amazing mascara you recomended (thanks again) which is now my favourite beauty product, I will definatley try this to make me feel beautiful ;)

  48. Hey Sarah! Thanks for the tip. I’m definitely going to try this. My favourite beauty product ever is Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge cream blush in Powder Pink. Gorgeous on lips and cheeks. Bit expensive (about $50.00) but i’ve had mine for years and use it nearly every day x

  49. Kerry says:

I absolutely love Nivea’s Regenerating Night Cream! I team it with their Daily Essentials Day Cream or their Daily Essentials Tinted Moisturiser (for that sunkissed look) which both have SPF 15 – as you say an absolute must for the Aussie sunshine! The night cream is fab, thick enough for night wear but not greasy and your skin feels like velvet in the morning. Of course, now that I’ve discovered this little gem, it seems it is only available from Boots back home – typical! I’ve emailed Nivea to see if there’s anywhere in Oz I can get it but no reply thus far :(

I also love the classic St Ives Apricot Scrub for exfoliating my face and getting rid of the build up of daily grossness!

Thanks for the review, might just give it a go!

  50. Rukmini says:

Shea cocoa butter and strawberry mousse by The Body Shop. Although I am always looking out for miracle potions and by far only one has seem to work, going by the way you document, this seems like a must try! Oh me my! :) Sarah, Can i please win! lol

I wonder if its in in Mumbai yet! Gotta check it.

  51. Rukmini says:

My computer is behaving weird. My comment is full of flaws because my darn PC is hyper sensitive and before I could like frame a sentence, it’s touch and boom. How I miss my hit and go PC.

“Shea cocoa butter and strawberry mousse by The Body Shop. Although I am always looking out for miracle potions and by far only one has seemed to work, going by your document, this seems like a must try! Oh me my! Sarah, Can i please win! lol

I wonder if its in, in Mumbai yet! Gotta check it.”

This is what I wanted to write. :( Bummed me.

  52. I’ve seen this product on another blog and wanted to try it, but my local Big W doesn’t have any.

I don’t have any miracle products, not for lack of trying.

    TDM xx

  53. Peggy says:

Wow I HAVE to try this! Trust me this 40 something getting WAY TOO close to 50 something needs it as I’ve never used anything on my skin aside from a bit of St Ives Vitamin E lotion… not a miracle product but it was just enough. Swish on the hands which are always dry and then run hands over face to remove any residual. So I’m off today to pick up (or at least locate) some of this lovely product today!

Thank you for the heads up!

  54. cait says:

Oh it so bugs me when there is a miracle anything not available in Canada! I have yet to find the can’t-live-without product. I am headed to the beach in a couple of months – this would have been perfect!

  55. Mel says:

    Hi Sarah!
Guess what I did today, here, near to Zurich?
Yep, went to a shopping center to search for this miracle and… they got it! With a big sign on it “NEW”. Ha! I’m a trend-setter here because I read your blog :-). And the price was also quite good here, in expensive Switzerland!
Will try it tomorrow morning when I have to get up one hour earlier for my daughters religion lesson… I’ll surely need it.

  56. Jules says:

Happy … they sell in Boots in UK … £9.99 … will be trying it :-) I still love Clarins Flash Balm … but that’s like £25 nowadays .. not cheap but it does work!

  57. I’m waiting for the day that they say that “50 is the new 30!” lol! But until then…..I think I need this cream, Sarah! :)

    xoxo laurie

  58. Glenda says:

Like you I read numerous beauty and fashion blogs for tips about great reasonably priced products. Also like you I am often disappointed to find that they have been gifted the item to blog about so you are never quite sure whether the subsequent raves are completely honest.
Thank you for the heads up re this product. I have never actually used a skin perfector before.

My favourite product at the moment is my wise woman regenerating day cream from Body Shop – it is beautiful and reasonably priced.

  59. Laura says:

I would love to try this! Lately I’ve been using Burt’s Bees rejuvenating night cream. Nice and light going on, but moisturizes well. And smells yummy!

  60. diane marie southard says:

thank you for sharing the details ane your personal review of the garnier ! i have been using olay definity tinted moisturizer for a few years . i love the idea of an all in one not just for quick results but also for not layering different types of goop on my face , makes me feel un-caked-on and i like a sheer let-your-skin-show look.
p.s. i return items that don’t work for me , i have never had a problem with that and i don’t like wasting money on products i can’t use or that just don’t do what i bought them to do. most people think you’re stuck with it !
thank you for a chance at the special prize : ))

  61. michelle says:

I will def try this…I read (and bought) the L’oreal mascara you raved about and was a bit skeptical as have used Bad Gal lash by Benefit for years but must say I LOVE the mascara and completely trust your views.

BTW: love the girlie ‘chats’ via your blog :-)

  62. Annie says:

Hmmm….I can’t think of any miracle products. Most of them let me down. I do always wear sunscreen. I will absolutely give this product a try!

  63. Looks like it is not available in the US yet. bummer.

  64. Lassiegirl says:

For this “40 is the new 30″ girl, my miracle is Proactive Solution. It really works! It is reliable and consistent! Been using for 9 years now and wish I had been using for 21 years.

  65. Sonia says:

My holy grail is the Pevonia skin care range for dry skin. It smells so good you could eat it, but it makes may skin so soft and hydrated. You can get it from Spa Pevonia at Narrabeen. Xx

  66. Michelle says:

This looks great . I know this sounds a little odd but the BEST thing I have ever done for my skin was to start using honey as a cleanser. Seriously my skin has never looked so good.

    • sarah says:

thanks, I always have good honey in the house….have used it as a mask but not a cleanser…hmmmmm

This sounds wonderful. I currently use doves tinted moisturising sunscreen in honey (8.95 a tube) because like you I love fast but I’ve just discovered they have discontinued this colour and am in the market for a new speedy addition o my hurried morning routine.

Thanks it is always good to get a new tip. I have been into the Aldi Lacura Renew, Multi Intensive Serum. I find it just right, not oily and I can also pop makeup or sunscreen over the top without feeling like I am suffocating my skin.

OMG i tried it too and loved it! very u usual for me as I don’t like wearing makeup because you can see it and it never looks even, fab fab fab product at last :-)

Another product I have had luck with is Cetaphil cleanser & moisturiser, everything else I used clogged up my skin but this cleans but doesn’t remove the natural oils so so far so good. My favourite singer Lissie tweeted she was using it and it was much cheaper and better than her usual stuff but she was having great success so I thought I’d give it a go :-)

Will put this on my to-try list… at the top. Have to wait for good ole Olay to run out first. Thanks for the tip!

  72. Lol what a fun post, Sarah. I’m going to have to try it now! I’m all about forty is the new thirty ; )
let’s see, my go-to products… Cetaphil face cleanser, Lush Ocean Salt face scrub (love! and so beachy :) and Olay ProX moisturizers with SPF, because I hate messing with more than one thing, too. Thanks for the great tip!

Oooh I love dewey! Do you think you would go the darker shade again of the light one? I have fair skin too it like you I prefer a bit of a colour boost. Not sure which one to go seek out?? Thanks for the tip!

    • sarah says:

well, my friend who is naturally darker than me bought the light one, I bought the dark one….on her the light one was too whitening…and so she bought the dark one too ..after seeing the light on her, which while glowy was a bit odd so I am very glad I bough the dark one, even if it’s a little dark for me….there’s no way I want to go lighter…so I would buy the dark one again next time…I might even buy both and mix and see what happens

      hope that helps
