Hope you’ve got your Beach Cottage Good Life Wednesdays ready?

Well for me this week, it’s all about a coffee mug…I am the proverbial coffee mug hunter…I am constantly on the lookout for mugs that I like the look of, are the right size and are ya know up there in the gripability stakes.

This one looks the part in this old cottage for sure…I mean I just had to have it, right?

While I was on hols in Queensland I came across a very nice mug.  It was a very nice price.  I mean who would pay nearly $100 dollars for a mug.  There must be some mugs out there.  Ha.  Ha.  Ha.  Ha.  Ha.

So this Good Wednesday here Down Under, I am stopping and smelling the coffee and taking time to be grateful for the little things…white sofas, vintage milk bottles, stripy mugs & old linen…it’s boiling hot, we’ve been literally baking in hot summer sun and the height of summer..

Now let me see what you’ve got where you are.

Oh and don’t forget you must link back to abeachcottage.com if you want to take part in this blog-a-hopping…

See you soon, I’ll be sitting here with a coffee and visiting…

  1. Hi Sarah, Yes definitely that mug looks like it is made for your Beach Cottage. Thanks for hosting this fun party, I am glad to be linking up. Have a wonderful day.

I’m a fellow mug lover – I have a cupboard almost entirely full of them, far more than I could ever need and a point of much teasing from the fella but they came in very handy on moving day with family and friends all needing a good brew ;-)

Your stripy mugis gorgeous – like it was made for you! Also crushing rather hard on your vintage milk bottle, saw a similar one in red and heartily wishing I’d treated myself now!

Hey Sarah, haven’t been over to pay you a visit in awhile. Your home and your blog is looking quite lovely. I sure wish we had your weather. It’s frigidly cold here. Wind is whipping around the house. I’m ready for some spring flowers!

  4. Fiona says:

Im a china addict also and cant resist beautiful cups , saucers and mugs. But my family complain “Where will we keep these?”

  5. Hi Sarah-

Thanks for having the link up. I think I will be housebound on Wed with the snow and ice storm that is coming my way. I am envious of seeing you in shorts in your last post. I wish you could send a little of that Australian sunshine my way.
    My best- Diane

So nice to see your beautiful sunny post!

  7. The look and feel of a mug is very important indeed. Charmaine

    thanks so much for hosting!!!

Sarah I’ve heard that Sydney has been hot, hot, hot! We’ve been hot and humid up in Brissy too, but not reaching the temps that you are. Unless you are in AC I’m thinking that iced water with berries looks better than the coffee!
    Stay cool x

  10. Sarah, that mug is just perfect for your Cottage. Beachy Coastal Stripes, I think you should have your own printed up that say “The Beach Cottage” with some stripes. ;) xoxo tami

  11. love…white sofas, vintage milk bottles, stripy mugs & old linen…I’m joining this party!
    happy wednesday

So weird to be reading your Wednesday post while it’s still Tuesday around the corner (and across the ocean)! Happy Wednesday! Be back in the morning.

  13. Laura says:

Hi Sarah… So sorry, I forgot to link back to yours last week, as I did it in a bit of a rush… Made sure I did this week. Thanks for the reminder. Ohh, and that strawberry drink looks to die for… I bet it tastes great too! Lx

  14. Thanks for hosting. Just love your style. it’s very odd to be hearing about the heat of summer; when we’re getting over one foot of snow here! ;-)

  15. Sibylle says:

love the idea with the strawberries and ice cubes!!! I bet you are melting overthere;-)

As I sit here in NY, in the middle of snow, sleet, freezing rain and icy roads, with schools closed for the second day in a row and nothing but white and gray as far as the eye can see, I’m just a little jealous of your heat and humidity and beautiful greenery. I’ll sit here on the other side of the world with my own mug of tea and live vicariously through your blog – and hope spring comes here really soon!

  17. Barefoot Liz says:

Sometimes, it’s nice to stop and reflect. :-)

  18. I have way too many mugs. Each one is tied to a special memory. Some are really cheesy and need to be thrown away. But…I just can’t. Maybe I will bust them up and make a mosaic.

  19. Hi Sarah…thanks for hosting….would love to sit and have a cup or two with you! Stop by today…I’m having a giveaway!

  20. bj says:

oops, Sarah…didn’t know about this meme. I just wrote it down, tho, so maybe I won’t forget.
We are so freezing over here while you are enjoying the beautiful weather. :))

I have been following your blog for a year now. I think this blogging world is so awesome as it allows you to connect with people all over the world. Seeing you in shorts definitely brings it close to home that you are on the other side of the world from me. I live in New Brunswick, Canada, and the icicles hanging on the front of our house are like weapons – they are 3 feet long! We have had a snow storm a week for the last 4 weeks, I believe. In fact we are in the starting of another one, as of 3 hours ago. By the way, you have been an inspiration to me. I’m getting over my phobia of painting wood furniture white. Whoo hoo!

  22. Lindsay says:

Love that mug! My husband and I love to find fancy mugs, as well. We, too, would have chosen the stripey mug…yes, a nice coffee moment…

  23. The gray and white mug is gorgeous! As always you have wonderful photos and inspiration! I love to check your blog for new posts:)
